EPPING FOREST SPONSORED WALK IS A SUCCESS!
Thank you to everyone who took part in the six mile sponsored walk around the beautiful Epping Forest on Sunday 5th June. Although, the sun was nowhere to be seen, the rain held off and what little drizzle was seen failed to dampen the spirits of walkers.
Event organiser, Vanessa Goulding, opened the walk by sounding a fog horn and off set the 70 walkers, full of energy and all proudly wearing Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund t-shirts. The King’s Oak Pub in High Beach, kindly provided snacks at the halfway point and everyone had a short cool down before getting back on their way towards the finish at Chingford Plain. Participants were met at the end by an ice cream van where everyone also received a goody bag and certificate. Thank you to the many supporters who helped to make this event happen, including the Sainsbury’s Depot at Waltham Point who provided bottled water for the participants and everyone who raised funds by taking part!
