![]() When Devon's Olde Sweet Shoppe closed back in March, Laurence, the owner didn't want to just sell off his remaining stock, he chose to donate it to put smiles on the faces of children with cancer! We collected approximately £4,000 worth of sweets like cola cubes, flying saucers, Nerds, nougat, strawberry laces, Refreshers, Chomps, Poppets, cola bottles, rhubarb and custard, bon bons, sherbert lemons, fizzy cherries and candy Love Hearts. This huge selection took us weeks to sort through but most of them have now been distributed to some local hospitals and hospices, while the rest will be raffled to raise extra funds towards our Respite Breaks project. Thank you so much to Laurence at DLFM in Romford Shopping Hall for his incredible generosity! |
