Gemma Fitzmaurice organised a Teddy Bears' Picnic at the Harrow Lodge Park, in Hornchurch, complete with a sponsored one mile walk and picnic at the end. The majority of participants were students and friends of St. Mary's Hare Park School, who raised sponsors and completed the walk to raise £1,231, which was then split between us and the school.
Val and friends dressed up as cowboys for Festival Silver Horseshoe Country Music and raised funds for Lennox by holding a 50:50 Raffle at the event. The group raise funds regularly in this way.
Friends Dan Lockhart and Callum Watts raised £623 for Lennox by taking part in a daring sponsored tandem skydive each at the Sibson Airfield in Peterborough.
Thank you to The Toy Trust for their very generous donation, which go towards our Respite Breaks project this summer. The Toy Trust is founded by the British Toy and Hobby Association and exists to raise money from the toy industry, which is then donated to a number of good causes
The Body Shop's newly re-styled Southend store held it's grand re-opening on Saturday 27th April and £196 was raised! Throughout the day, guest's enjoyed free makeovers, hand massages and goody bags and, as well as face painting and a raffle. Special thanks to Liz Millward for volunteering her time and making extra donations after the event
Image Line Communication raised £58.16 by holding a 'Name the Cuddly Toy' Competition at work. A fluffy, yellow chick was passed around the office as employees guessed it's name to help raise funds this Easter.
Well done to the fabulous cast and incredibly talented band who made Lennox Productions' Musical Melodies a huge success at the Brookside Theatre in Romford. The small cast of eight produced an evening filled with some of the most popular songs from stage and film, including hits from musicals such as 'Les Misrables', 'Anything Goes', 'Oklahoma', 'Guys’n’Dolls' and many more.
A blind company has donated and fitted new roller blinds in the charity's New Forest Log Cabin to ensure families staying there, get the cleanliness and privacy that they need. DJ Blinds, which has stores in Dartford, Basildon, and Rayleigh, is also fitting blinds in the charity's new offices for when we move in this March.
Dillon was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his kidney at two and a half years old. He fought it off by enduring radiotherapy and chemotherapy for a year and surgery to remove a kidney. Then sadly, four years after initial diagnosis it was discovered that Dillon had two new tumours in his brain and chest meaning he had to start the nightmare all over again.
