![]() We are delighted to have received 42% of your votes to win the Lloyds Community Fund Award 2013 and £3,000. You have been voting through text, online and with tokens handed out at five Lloyds branches in Havering. The award will be used to help our Respite Breaks project to give children with cancer a memory making holiday with their families. THANK YOU to everyone who voted and an extended thank you to Jo Paveley and Ella Dixon who nominated us for this award back in May! ![]() The Lloyds Bank Community Fund is helping people across England and Wales to have a positive impact at the hearts of their communities by giving grants to over 1,300 local good causes. We are one of four good causes in Havering and by being shortlisted we are guaranteed to receive an award. Two will receive £3,000 each, while the other two will receive £300 each. Two of our fundraisers, Claire Bull and Nancy Wilson, visited the manager and staff at the Romford Market branch as part of the bank’s celebrations for the re-launch of the Lloyds brand. They are one of the five branches who took part in Havering. The other four branches are in Elm Park, Station Lane Hornchurch, Collier Row and Upminster. Voting has now closed and we are eagerly awaiting news of our placing. Thank you to all of our supporters who voted through text, online or in a Lloyds branch! Receiving this award will make such a huge difference to our Respite Breaks project and the families we help. It is often very difficult for a family with a child with cancer to book a holiday, yet it is crucial for them to spend that time together. £3000 from Lloyds Community Fund will mean that we can help these families relax completely by giving them a little spending money for daytrips and meals. ![]() We are delighted to have been chosen to receive a generous grant of £2,000 from The Boshier-Hinton Foundation towards the running costs of our Respite Breaks project. Respite Breaks are short holidays given to families in desperate need of some relaxing time away from the day-to-day stress of cancer treatment.
