David Faces His Fear To Take The Plunge!

David Mole, from Westwoodside in Doncaster, has a massive phobia of heights, so choosing to take on a bungee jump was not an easy decision! He visited the UK Bungee website where he found Lennox on the list of affiliated charities. David said "I thought it was an excellent cause providing families who are going through such a tough time a happy release from their situation".

David's phobia has prevented him from doing anything like this in the past so it was important to him that his challenge made a difference to someone else's life.

David said "Having researched my chosen charity and being a daddy myself, I cant describe the feelings reading what this charity achieves and the good it does to children's lives who are unfortunate to be living with cancer at such a young age."

Friends and family helped David to raise £450 through his JustGiving page, which he promoted through endless posts on social media. He also used his page to invite his sponsors along to have a laugh and see him face his fear by jumping off a platform at 160 feet above the ground.

David is now trying to find the courage to sign up for a skydive. He said "I thought that if I started small I could build up to the bigger height of jumping out of a plane. But according to people who have done both, they say the bungee is worse because you fall from a shorter distance... So on that note I'm really looking forward to the skydive!"

David is very proud of his achievement and we are all very thankful to him for his bravery. The funds he has raised will help us to give two families some wonderful memories on a Respite Break.
