On 5th May 2015, 21 brave staff from Sainsbury's Waltham Point Depot took on the challenging cycle from the depot in Enfield to Paris! They trained vigorously all winter, and at the start of their challenge resembled the mighty Pro outfit of Team Sky!

Team members were Luke Strutt, Darren Gore, Derrick Towers, Mark Woolven, Paul Smith, Paul Haynes, Ian Glazebrook, Tim Gover-Jones, Gemma Searle, Steve Bristow, Ian Reed, Mervyn Camps, Anthony Elliot, Chris Ball, Phil Hart, Pjorin Gjelaj, Conor Eustace, Lawrence Macrides Gary Howney, Neil Farley, John Eustace. Steve George provided vehicle, medical, refreshments and psychological back up.

The team's Virgin fundraising page says:
"Seriously this is a big challenge for all of us! It will be the furthest all of us have cycled! and for some possibly the first time on a cycle!
We have put this challenge together with the help of Sainsburys Distribution Depot at Waltham Point. Without their help this challenge would not have been possible"

They have raised a phenomenal £6,557 so far with more still to be added. This will be split equally between Lennox Children's Cancer Fund and The Nicola Emmerson Trust, the depot's chosen charities for this year.
