Stars In The Skies

PictureSharon Gatesman, Yasar Ali, Abi Pateman and Heidi Peacock look nervous before their jump
A huge Lennox thank you and well done to the lovely folks of Team Skyline who braved a tandem skydive at Sibson Airfield near Peterborough on Sunday 27th May.

After having not one, but FOUR changes of date in the run up to their jump, the conditions cleared and the fearsome foursome from Skyline Taxis in Milton Keynes finally got to strut their stuff.

Sharon, Yasar, Abi and Heidi displayed a combination of nerves and excitement before taking to the skies for their jump, but once they were togged up and strapped to their instructors they showed total contempt for fear by leaping from a plane at around 13,000ft and reaching top speeds of around 120mph!

Heidi described their arrival back on solid ground as “windswept” but also said of their jump - “It was the most amazing experience I, well we, have ever had and I would do it over and over again. It was such a buzz!”.

We are so grateful to the whole team for their patience, hard work, bravery and fantastic fundraising efforts. They absolutely smashed their fundraising target which has enabled us to support even more families in need of help after a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Big thanks also go to their drivers and colleagues at Team Skyline, as well as their friends and family who all donated handsomely.

Team Skyline you are stars in our eyes!
