28th February - 3rd March 2007
Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch
As the first ever Lennox production, nerves were aplenty on opening night but from start to finish Oliver! was nothing short of a success. Described as a ’not so amatuer’ production by the Romford Recorder, the show failed to disappoint. Thanks to the wonderful Artistic Direction of Vanda Morgan and shared talent of Musical Director, Tim Rhys-Morgan, the strong and well timed company made this version of Lional Bart’s most popular musical a winner amongst audience members.
A special supporters champagne gala night was held at the Friday’s performance during which cast members, still in costume chatted to Lennox supporters including Havering Mayor Cllr Wendy Bryce Thompson. The project raised in excess of £10,000 for the Lennox and a further £200,000 in donations and other fundraising activities following six months of advertising and promotion.
