Sunday 19th May 2019, 12pm
It’s happening again!
Sunday 19th May 2019 will see the return of our family-friendly charity Superhero Fun Run and Inflatables Day! Back for its THIRD fantastic year, Raphael Park in Romford will once again play host to the 5k superhero-themed family fundraiser.
Run, walk, skip, fly… complete the distance however you like, and as it’s not a race, you don’t have to be an athlete to join in! The Superhero Fun Run is suitable for all ages and abilities. Take part as a family - bring the kids, grandparents, aunts and uncles and have a fun family day out. Dress up in your favourite superhero fancy dress and join us to raise money to support children with cancer.
An afternoon of *FREE* inflatable fun is included in the Superhero Fun Run registration for all under 13s and there will be soft play available for under 5s. All Superhero Fun Run finishers will also receive an exciting goody bag and finishers medal at the end of the race! For those not taking part in the Superhero Fun Run, unlimited use wristbands will be available on the day for £5 each.
Fancy dress is encouraged, and superhero capes and masks will be on sale for runners who really want to look the part!
The NEW-improved 2019 inflatables day will also include a wider selection of inflatables, face-painting, food and drink stalls and a visit from a very special Disney Princess! There will be a DJ and a fun pre-run warm-up to get the fun run going at midday.
Sign up today, come as your favourite character and be a superhero for children with cancer!
*Children must be accompanied by a participating adult throughout the run.
After you have registered we will send you confirmation by email, plus a sponsorship form and all the information you will need about the day.
Inflatables will be free for all under 13s participating in the Superhero Fun Run and additional tickets will be available for £5 from the registration tent.
The run will start at 12pm.
Did you know?
Recent research revealed that three in five parents surveyed ended up in debt as a result of a child's cancer diagnosis – with one in six borrowing more than £5,000. The average extra spend of £600 per month is close to a third of the average UK monthly income*. This puts a massive financial strain on families, who also have to take time off work to care for their sick child during treatment, which can often last several years.
Our family support team are constantly inundated with requests for financial support from families who find themselves in this all too common situation, so the funds you raise, will be put towards our Care Grants project to help these families.
