CARE GRANTS
The Care Grants program is a resource available to families who are left struggling with the financial side effect of cancer after their child is diagnosed. In so many cases parents will have to leave employment to provide the necessary care their sick child needs. Although these families are entitled to the same state benefits as other non-working parents their outgoings soar dramatically and these families are often left in dire straits. Care grants offer a financial cushion and can be a one off payment to cover an essential bill, to help buy a crucial piece of equipment, to give a life limited child a holiday of their dreams or in some cases to pay funeral expenses. | RESPITE BREAKS
For families with a sick child it can be almost impossible to find the money for a much needed family break away from constant hospital visits and treatment. With funds raised by our supporters the Lennox provides holiday throughout the country to give families a much needed break away. A Respite Break enables the whole family to sit back, relax and take time-out where cancer is not the main issue of their day to day life. These holidays are offered free of charge, with spending money and are (so our families tell us) “just what the doctor ordered”. Read more...
