We're very proud to introduce Chris Foale and Nathanial Westcott who are both running the Virgin London Marathon for Lennox Children's Cancer Fund on 28th April.
Chris started running seven years ago. His aim was to lose weight and change his lifestyle. He said "I didn't like it much at first, but after getting in to the habit of doing it every morning I really developed a passion for it. Running has helped me so much, both in terms of physical health (where I dropped about 3 stone within a few months and have been able to keep it off ever since) but also in terms of mental resilience."
Chris has already participated in three organised 10k races and ran the Clacton Half Marathon in 2018, but entering the London Marathon this year will be the ultimate challenge for him.
He said "It's my honour to run on behalf of Lennox - a charity very close to my heart with my sister in law working there. I will be taking the fundraising very seriously and look forward to raising awareness for the charity and the wider cause."
Nathanial is from Hertfodshire and was lucky enough to receive his own place in the London Marathon's ballot. He contacted us in October 2019 to tell us that he would be representing Lennox when he runs and set up a JustGiving page the very same day.
